Community Team

Community Team

The St Michael's Community Team is a parent representative body who works closely with the school and whose roles include engaging the broader parent community in aspects of school life, along with providing support and advice to the Principal in matters which affect the ethos of the school.

  • assisting with the preservation and promotion of the school’s Catholic ethos and culture
  • providing informed advice to the canonical administrator
  • assisting with planning for the present and future operating of the school
  • passing on information about Catholic education to the community
  • formulating, ratifying and revising school policy (with staff)
  • overseeing school finances
  • participating in regular formation activities
  • fundraising events
  • school community social events

The Community Team is a prent based body, which includes school representatives (Principal and nominee), and secretary.

Our Bi-Annual Fete is set for November 10th, and planning is well underway for this Community Event and Major Fundraiser for 2024.  We will also be acknowledging our 30 years at Smith St on this occasion, so we'd love to hear your stories.

We look to continue our tradition of providing a BBQ at Glenlyon Sports Day on Jan 1 in 2025
